Leader Medical Genetics and Genomics, Co., Ltd. (LMGG)

Leader Medical Genetics and Genomics, Co., Ltd. (LMGG) was established in 2014 as a spin-off company from the Genomic Medicine Project (GMP) supported by the Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCELS). The main objective of LMGG is to bring Genetic and Genomic Medicine technology to serve public both in government and private sectors conveninently such as gene analysis in genetic diseases, genetic prediction for drug allergy and metabolism, premarital and pre-conceptual genetic screening, prevention of genetic diseases in family using assisting reproductive and pre-implantation genetic technologies and genetic counseling service. To date, genetic and genomic technology has a large barrier in clinical service due to the expensive cost and the institutes that can perform the tests are not widely available. LMGG technology is well supported by GMP, especially, Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and Capillary Sequencing technologies. Therefore, gene analysis of several genetic disorders is more feasible and less expensive than in the past. LMGG also has a consultation service for physicians in Thailand and countries in ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) who require the opinion for genetic investigation for their patients at their local sites. LMGG team includes professional physicians, medical technologists, clinical scientists, researchers and nurses who are specialized in genetic and genomic technologies. The staff members are highly motivated in this field and well disciplined, in order to provide the best quality service to the public


LMGG keeps going intention in developing new products for genetic diagnosis. In case of receiving consultation of complicated cases, we are enthusiastic to facilitate the communication and negotiation to the good quality partnership laboratories abroad, for the maximal benefits of our customers.

WHAT ARE WE DOING?
  • Obtaining genetic and genomic consultation from doctors and patients
  • Making decision and design the approach of genomic work plan, e.g., primer design, reaction design and analytical method design
  • Selecting the reagents, chemicals and protocols suitably for genomic work customised to the consultation
  • Preparing and handling specimens with good laboratory practice, e.g., DNA extraction, DNA storage, Polymerase-Chain Reaction (PCR), Pre-reaction for DNA sequencing, linkage analysis, qPCR and MLPA
  • Doing bioinformatic analysis
  • Doing clinical interpretation to answer the questions from consultation
